The Robert E Lee Soil and Water Conservation District is accepting applications for a full-time Ag BMP Conservation Specialist position.

This position will provide assistance to farmers in the implementation of agricultural best management practices and will include evaluations of farm fields and practices based on soils, water quality and other program requirements.  A farm background is highly preferred. A bachelor’s degree in an agricultural/natural resources related field and/or equivalent experience is required. The applicant must have exceptional communication and computer skills, be knowledgeable in areas of land conservation and agriculture, conservation planning, surveying, map reading and GIS/ArcMap. Applicant must have a valid Virginia driver’s license and provide own transportation. Work related mileage will be reimbursed at the State rate. Salary will be based upon qualifications.
