Scholarships

 

“Robert E. Lee Soil & Water Conservation District Offering $2,000 Scholarship”

One $2,000 scholarship is available to high school seniors and college freshmen interested in studying conservation and natural resources. Any student with a desire to study college curriculum related to the environment, ecology, agriculture, forestry, wildlife, aquatics, and similar fields is encouraged to apply. This scholarship is sponsored by the Robert E. Lee Soil & Water Conservation District. Interested students can obtain an application HERE or by emailing megan.johnston@releeconservation.comApplications are due to the Robert E. Lee Soil & Water Conservation District office or to the email listed no later than March 1, 2018. Applicants must reside in one of the following localities: Amherst, Appomattox, and Campbell counties, or the city of Lynchburg.

John Alexander Warren was our 2016 Robert E Lee SWCD Scholarship Winner!

He graduated from E.C. Glass High School in June and will attend Randolph College this fall.

DO YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA?

  • High School Senior
  • Demonstrated interest in natural resources and the environment
  • Enrolled in a college level curriculum
  • Reside in Amherst, Appomattox, Campbell County or City of Lynchburg
