March 24th, 2018: ”Trees, Bees, & Clean Water” event with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, at the Monroe Community Center, Monroe VA. This event will include inspiring conservation speakers, workshops, as well as lunch & a conservation field walk! Register here and view a more detailed agenda.
March 2018: The James River Tree-Athlon will be hosted by the James River Association, Robert E. Lee SWCD, and Thomas Jefferson SWCD. The goal is to plant 3,000 native tree seedlings along the river to help protect our water! Interested in volunteering? Sign up for a shift here .
April 7th, 2018: Virginia Save our Streams Training event with Izaak Walton League of America & James River Association. The training workshop will be held from 9:30-5:30pm at Riveredge Park, Madison Heights, VA. The purpose of the workshop is to train volunteers who would like to become certified water quality monitors in the area. Register here to help save our streams!
